Happy Rex Manning Day… This is my play on the movie Empire Records. I don’t thin it was a critical success, but working in retail when I saw the movie, it has long been one of those nostalgia movies for me.
It’s also a movie about music, and I don’t write about music here, but it is such a huge part of my life. I have playlists just for writing. I have playlists for memories. I find sharing music with people I am close to as a way of connecting and sharing intimacy.

I love that movie. 🙂
I can’t believe it’s 25 years old now.
It’s sad to me that record stores don’t exist anymore. Those characters captured the end of an era.

I grew up with an indy record store and I still miss it – all of the people working there could recommend the best music

When I finally get the house I want I am going to buy myself a proper record player and some vinyls to play on it.

Record players are wonderful! I’ve never owned a high quality one, but listening to a record adds a richness to music.

Very beautiful. I must admit that I don’t know the movie, so I really got to look it up now!
